Schoolteacher Anne Gladden, feeling unfulfilled, decides to take a risk and live life to the fullest. She buys new clothes and sets out to find adventure, gaining confidence and flirting with strangers. However, her new life takes a dark turn when she steals a car with a corpse in the trunk and unwittingly gets entangled in a gangster's desperate search for his stolen vehicle.
