In 1962, Angela, a carefree teenager, is more focused on partying than planning her future. Her school counselor suggests tutoring with Wayne, a student who helps her improve her grades and sparks a romantic connection. As Angela navigates her feelings for Wayne, she must confront her reckless behavior and make difficult choices. After a tragic accident, Angela finds herself in purgatory, tasked with returning to Earth to help someone. With the guidance of her counselor, she tries to assist Cindy, a girl struggling with her own love life, while also helping Wayne find happiness with her best friend, Judith.
