Biography

Person Biography:

Dustin Tri Nguyen, also pronounced as "Gwen", is a renowned Asian-American actor, director, and producer. Born in Vietnam, he left the country with his family in 1975 and went on to establish himself as one of Hollywood premier's Asian-American actors.

Nguyen has starred in numerous TV shows and films, including "21 Jump Street", "Seaquest DSV", "VIP", "The Rebel", and "The Man with the Iron Fists 2". In 2005, he won the role of 'Jonny' in the critically acclaimed film "Little Fish", starring alongside Academy Award-winner Cate Blanchett.

He has also directed and produced films under his production company, Dreamscape DBS, which he shares with his producer wife, Bebe Pham. In 2015, his second directorial effort, "Jackpot", was chosen to represent Vietnam for Best Foreign Language Films at the 2016 Oscars.

Nguyen has received numerous awards and nominations for his performances, including the 2007 Asian Excellence Award for Best Supporting Actor in a feature film and the Leonard da Vinci Horse Award for Best Supporting Actor at the 2015 Milan International Film Festival.

In addition to his acting and directing career, Nguyen has also been involved in various philanthropic efforts, including supporting organizations that help Vietnamese orphans and children with disabilities.
