In this western comedy, a con artist named Dingus Magee teams up with old acquaintance Hoke Birdsill on a journey to San Francisco. However, Dingus betrays Hoke and steals his money. Hoke becomes the sheriff of Yerkey's Hole, a small town with a corrupt mayor who runs a brothel. Dingus gets involved with the town's politics and an Indian woman named Anna, while also poking fun at the traditional cowboy code of honor.
