A group of oil company employees, including Mark Unwin, are kidnapped by MEND in Nigeria. His wife Claire and a PR consultant travel to the region to negotiate their release, but find only the bodies of the hostages. The next day, Claire discovers that her husband was killed by the Nigerian government after being released, and that he had been having an affair.
