Daniel Boone Brown, a New Yorker, becomes the target of a mad scientist's psychological experiments. The doctor's manipulations lead to physical and mental decline, causing Daniel to suffer from poor health, insomnia, irritability, and superstitions. As the experiments continue, Daniel's nightmares become increasingly vivid and disturbing, threatening to push him to the brink of suicide.
