Venus Melite is a movie about a queer American photographer, Michael, who travels to Malta for an artist's residency to create a new body of work. She meets a young beekeeper and activist, Katerina, and becomes her muse. As they explore the island, Michael documents Katerina's work and the contrast between Malta's natural beauty and urbanization. As their relationship deepens, they face threats from political forces.
