Two Aboriginal individuals, Ray and Jolene, form a connection while navigating their urban Aboriginal identity. Ray, a Métis writer, pitches his TV series to executives who seem more interested in funding than the project itself. His non-Aboriginal wife pressures him to take the job, while Jolene, an Anishnabe painter, is drawn to a spiritual path.
