Valentine Winters embarks on a journey to Paris to meet her divorced mother, whom she's never known. During her stay, she becomes entangled with the troubled Tony, but after a car accident, she's rescued by Bob, a charming Harvard football star. As their relationship blossoms, Bob introduces Valentine to his parents, but Tony's drunken appearance and a shocking revelation about Valentine's mother's past threaten to tear them apart.
