Two creatures, Boris and Alphea, meet on either side of a cage. Boris, half-man and half-bird, is stuck outside after searching for the cage his whole life. Alphea, a melodramatic diva, is trapped inside and longs for freedom, but fears the outside and can't remember how she got there.
