A visually-driven story unfolds through two main narratives and several minor ones. A woman, potentially the Madonna, gives birth in front of a swarm of intrusive photographers, then attempts to escape them. Meanwhile, two men, lovers, get married and are arrested by oppressive authorities. The men are ridiculed, punished, and brutally beaten. Amidst this modern world of electrical infrastructure, Jesus also appears. The elements, particularly fire and water, clash with political power, which is ruthless and deadly.
The Garden
A visually-driven film weaves together multiple narratives, emphasizing imagery over verbose conversation.
