The Footprints of God: Paul Contending for the Faith background

The Footprints of God: Paul Contending for the Faith

The film follows Saint Paul's extraordinary odyssey, tracing his journey from his humble beginnings in Tarsus to his triumphant and tragic fate in Rome, where he faced numerous challenges and ultimately gave his life in the pursuit of his faith.

Steve Ray, author and apologist, embarks on a journey through Mediterranean cities, tracing the life and travels of Saint Paul the Apostle. He visits Tarsus, Turkey, where Saul, later known as Paul, was born to an orthodox Jew family. Saul moves to Jerusalem to study under Gamaliel, becomes a zealous Pharisee, and persecutes Christians. The story continues with St. Stephen's martyrdom, Paul's conversion, and baptism. Steve Ray then visits sites where Paul preached and traveled, including Philippi, Athens, Corinth, and Ephesus. He also witnesses Paul's arrests, imprisonment, and martyrdom under Nero, as well as visits to significant churches dedicated to Saint Paul.
