Two friends, Rod and Wabi, form a bond at a boarding school, but Rod is forced to drop out due to financial struggles. Later, Wabi offers Rod a job as a fur trapper in the Yukon, only for Rod's focus to shift when rumors of gold in the mountains begin to spread.
