A young painter, Françoise Gilot, meets Pablo Picasso in 1943 and becomes his mistress, muse, and mother of his two children. Over the next decade, she navigates a complex web of relationships with other women who have been or are still involved with Picasso, including Dora Maar, Marie-Thérèse, and Olga Koklowa. Despite the challenges, Gilot finds solace in her art and independence, ultimately gaining the strength to leave Picasso when the time comes.
