A Taiwanese girl named Yuwen moves to a Japanese village in Fukushima to study abroad, bringing a heart that's as dry as the parched landscape. Initially, she views falling in love as foolish, but as she immerses herself in Japanese culture with the help of her host family and neighbors, she begins to thaw. Despite struggling to communicate in Japanese, Yuwen gradually opens up, and just as her heart starts to heal, the village is blessed with rain after a long drought.
