Mickey Mouse pilots a steamboat, but Captain Pete has other plans, forcing Mickey to jump off. The duo picks up cargo, and Minnie narrowly misses the boat, only to be rescued by Mickey using a crane. However, their joyful reunion is short-lived as a goat devours Minnie's sheet music. Mickey and Minnie concoct a creative solution, using the goat's tail to play the tune, accompanied by Mickey's makeshift percussion.
