Lee, a captivating tenor singer, mesmerizes Sally, a young woman, with his enchanting performances alongside Johnny Johnson's Orchestra, oblivious to her long-held admiration for him.

Sally falls for Lee, a talented singer with Johnny Johnson's Orchestra, despite her father's disapproval. She convinces him to take her to the nightclub where Lee performs, unaware that Lee has planned a secret elopement with her. However, their plans are threatened when the clerk hires a ruthless gangster to disrupt Lee's performance, including his signature song "Let's Take It on the Chin".
