Our Story - The Indigenous Led Fight to Protect Greater Chaco

The Navajo and Pueblo communities have joined forces to share their stories, a three-year collaborative effort, as the last remaining lands in the Greater Chaco region are rapidly being leased for oil and gas exploration.

The Greater Chaco region has seen over 90% of its available lands leased for oil and gas extraction. For three years, Navajo and Pueblo leaders have worked together to share their stories in a film, as they fight to preserve the remaining parts of this sacred land, including the World Heritage Site Chaco National Historical Park in the SW United States.
