Nobody Famous background

Nobody Famous

The story of The Pozo Seco Singers, a 1960s folk-pop group, is told through the eyes of Taylor Pie, a former member, who recounts their meteoric rise and eventual decline from a contemporary perspective.

The Pozo Seco Singers, a folk/pop trio, rose to fame in the 1960s, but their success was short-lived. The group consisted of Susan Taylor, Donnie Williams, and Lofton Kline, who met at a Texas hootenanny. They gained popularity with their hit single "Time" and were signed to Columbia Records. Manager Albert Grossman, known for working with Bob Dylan and Janis Joplin, took them under his wing. However, when Janis Joplin joined Columbia and Grossman, the folk music scene began to decline, and the trio's chances of success faded. Donnie Williams went on to become a successful country music artist, while Susan Taylor chose to pursue her own path, embracing her individuality and artistic identity.
