The documentary New Men chronicles the lives of 28 men at the Holy Cross Hermitage, a Russian Orthodox monastery in West Virginia, who have renounced the world to follow a 1,700-year-old Christian monastic tradition. The film will feature the story of a monastic who takes final vows, culminating in his commitment to living in the monastery until death. Additional scenes, including one with Fr. Benedict, a beekeeper, interacting with the outside world, will be filmed in January.
