A group of African American female track athletes, coached by the renowned Mr. Temple, made history by breaking the color barrier in the Olympics during the 1950s and '60s, earning 16 gold medals, over 30 national titles, and achieving a remarkable 100% college graduation rate amidst the challenges of the Jim Crow era.
