Private Investigator Terry Moran is hired to solve the murder of a fur dealer, but is beaten up by Maletti's henchmen and ordered to quit the case. Despite this, Terry and his love interest Nora continue to investigate, uncovering a scheme involving stolen goods and liquor. They eventually discover Maletti dead in his office, and Terry is accused of the murder by the police.
