Seven days before the creation of Israel, a small ship carrying concentration camp survivors is met with hostility by British troops and Jewish secret forces. The survivors are shot at by both sides, and only a small group manages to land on a beach, where they are forced to take up arms against Arabs in a violent and tragic conflict.
