Germany Pale Mother

In the midst of World War II, a newlywed couple's life is turned upside down when their daughter is born during a bombing raid. As the husband fights on the Eastern front, his wife and child are forced to start anew in a relative's home in Berlin. After the war, the husband's return is met with a changed man, struggling to reconcile his past and present selves, leaving his marriage and relationships in disarray.
