Set in 1994, the story follows two 11th graders, Stacy and Liz, who were once best friends but drifted after apart a mysterious event. Years later, Stacy tries to repair their friendship after Liz's little brother's accidental drowning. She invites Liz and her misfit friends to a weekend getaway at her vacation home, but things take an unexpected turn.
