Finding Mercy

In 1980, 8-year-old filmmaker Robyn Paterson was honored with flowers by Comrade Robert Mugabe at a Zimbabwe air force base, alongside her best friend Mercy, marking a milestone for the newly formed nation of Zimbabwe.

At the age of eight, filmmaker Robyn Paterson greeted Comrade Robert Mugabe with flowers as he stepped from a plane in Zimbabwe, along with her best friend Mercy, who was a symbol of the new nation's unity. However, despite their poster-like appearance, the reality was far from ideal, as Mercy's Matabele tribe was being brutally massacred by Mugabe's forces. Years later, Robyn embarked on a perilous journey to uncover the truth about her friend's disappearance, facing numerous challenges and shocking revelations along the way.
