Emergency Hospital

A tense and emotional night at a bustling hospital reveals the personal and professional struggles of its dedicated doctors and nurses.

A Los Angeles area city run Emergency Hospital is presented on a graveyard shift, staffed by doctors, nurses, and police officers. The hospital has a separate wing for patients who will be charged with a crime. The doctors and staff treat a range of patients, including a hypochondriac, a teenage boy with a head wound, a suicide victim, a gunshot victim, an infant abuse victim, and a teenage rape victim. Two patients in particular have a personal impact on the staff, including Sgt. Arnold's teenage son, who was involved in a car accident, and Ben Caldwell, Dr. Carey's boyfriend, who is a race car enthusiast.
