Teenage Zef and his little brother Tutu, two happy elephants, live in the African plains with their family herd. However, their carefree days are disrupted when their mother and family are taken away by The Badness. Zef makes up a story about a rainbow taking their mother to the sky, and Tutu sets out to find it, believing it will lead him to their mother. Zef, on the other hand, wants to find a new herd. Along the way, they meet other orphaned animals, including a chimp, giraffe, and vulture, and together they face numerous challenges. The journey tests the brotherly love between Zef and Tutu as they each pursue their own goals. In the end, the orphans must confront The Badness to stop it from taking animal families again and find new families, which Tutu believes lies at the end of the rainbow.
