A man, exhausted from his efforts, plays a DVD featuring Max Fleischer's cartoon of three blind mice singing. The mice convey a message, directing him to a specific street corner in modern Los Angeles. He rushes to the location, where a street performer discusses shoes with him, and then answers a ringing cell phone. A mysterious voice sends him on a quest to prevent a tragedy, find salvation, or break free from earthly distractions, leaving him wondering if he's caught in a cosmic game of cat and mouse.
