Counsellor at Law background

Counsellor at Law

A high-achieving lawyer's life is turned upside down when he discovers his wife's betrayal, prompting him to re-engage with his Jewish heritage and reconnect with his humble beginnings.

George Simon, a respected lawyer at a Manhattan law firm, has just defended a wife accused of murdering her husband. He's well-respected by colleagues and clients, and has worked his way up from the Jewish ghetto. His wife, Cora, is from high society and has two snobbish children from a previous marriage. Despite his past, George is committed to helping those he believes in. However, his life is turned upside down when a past mistake, done for altruistic reasons, threatens to resurface and put his law career at risk.
