A widower, Subhamoy, has two children, Munni and Gaurav, a talented cricketer but struggling student. Subhamoy dreams of his son's academic success, not cricket. When Gaurav fails and the principal refuses to let him take the exam, Subhamoy gives him an ultimatum. After a heated argument, Subhamoy strikes Gaurav, who falls into a coma. Subhamoy becomes a local hero by speaking out against the system on TV and impresses the Chief Minister with a passionate speech. Gaurav eventually recovers and returns to cricket, hitting a century on his comeback.
