A German doctor in Brussels, Charlotte, leads a double life: a happy marriage and family, and secret affairs with attractive patients. However, when one patient becomes too clingy, she suffers a breakdown and her double life is exposed. She loses her job and her marriage is on the brink of collapse. Despite seeking therapy, the couple's trust is broken and they move to India, where they have twins and try to rebuild their life.
