The film tells the story of Cornelius, a young boy whose family moves to a new estate in London after the high-profile murder of his friend Damilola Taylor. Despite the racism they face, Cornelius becomes increasingly like the people who despise him, as he struggles to maintain his sense of identity and find a way to survive.
