Taking two characters from the film Belle de Jour, Séverine and Henri-Pierre, and bringing them together 38 years later, the movie Belle toujours explores the secrets and knowledge they've acquired over time. Séverine, now a widow, tries to avoid Henri-Pierre, but he relentlessly pursues her to reveal a crucial secret. They meet for dinner, where Séverine expects to finally learn the truth about what Henri-Pierre told her husband, who was paralyzed and mute after being shot by Séverine's lover.
