Paul Taylor, a middle-aged man, loses something precious and decides to teach at a reform school for 12-14 year olds to understand the criminal mind of a child. He's challenged by students who have nothing to lose, forced to kill or be killed or spend their lives in prison. While teaching, Paul befriends two pupils, representing the extremes of good and evil, and begins to question what's real and what's not. As he delves deeper, he discovers a world beyond his imagination, where he can harness the power of the universe.
