Grieving teenager Yi finds a lovable yeti named Everest on her apartment roof, who has escaped a research lab. She embarks on a cross-China journey with her friends Jin and Peng to return Everest to his family on Mount Everest, while being chased by a collector and zoologist who want to capture him.
