Two friends, Elmer and Rover, embark on a hunting trip, but Rover's demeanor becomes increasingly hostile after watching a TV show about masters killing their old hunting dogs. Fearing the worst, Rover sets up traps to kill Elmer, mistaking him for one of these masters.
