Edward "Duke" White, a struggling father to five sons with three different women, has taken his own life by jumping over Niagara Falls. His ex-wife, Goldie, had been the primary caregiver to the boys, despite only being the biological mother to the first three. In his will, Duke leaves behind a series of cryptic messages and a large sum of money, which the boys soon discover is tainted by fraud.
