In a world where animals possess human-like qualities, a once-noble queen named Ivy has turned to a life of darkness. She roams the land, disguising herself as a poor wanderer to lure men into her trap. Ivy uses a mysterious device called the Reforger to strip their identities, leaving them as hollow husks. These men are then sent to Earth, where they become zombies, spreading the infection and causing chaos.
