A South Korean family celebrates a wedding, but the groom's astronaut duties are interrupted by a reconnaissance flight during a nuclear test, triggering an earthquake with a mysterious epicenter. As the quake's path shifts towards Seoul, a photographer documents the damage and authorities declare martial law. A gigantic underground creature, Yongary, emerges, causing chaos and destruction.
