In Thailand, a ritual is believed to cheat death and bring good fortune: lying in a coffin. Sue, a bride, leaves her fiancé Jack in Hong Kong to cure her lung cancer, only to return and find him dead. Meanwhile, Chris, a skeptic, participates in the ritual to help his beloved Mariko, but his claustrophobia gets the better of him and he flatlines for 6 minutes and 42 seconds. As they experience bizarre visions and supernatural occurrences, Sue and Chris seek the help of Professor Thanachai, who advises them to repeat the burial to break the curse and resolve their issues.
