The US Navy's first and only dedicated Attack Helicopter Gunship Squadron, the Seawolves, was established in 1967 in the Mekong Delta, Republic of Vietnam, to support Game Warden Operations. Despite being equipped with hand-me-down Huey helicopters, the squadron became the most decorated in Naval Aviation History and of the Vietnam War, with approximately 2,556 volunteers serving as Maintainers, Pilots, Personnel, and Gunners.
Scramble the Seawolves
