Black Angolan soldiers, notorious for their brutal combat skills, fought in South Africa's colonial wars as part of the infamous 32 Battalion. After returning to South Africa in the late 1980s, many of these former fighters struggled to adjust to civilian life.

Black Angolan soldiers, known as "The Terrible Ones", fought in South Africa's colonial wars as part of the notorious 32 Battalion. Repatriated in the 1980s, some still struggle in the ruins of Pomfret, a former asbestos-mining town. When the town becomes a film set, the ex-soldiers act out the story of Judas Iscariot, confronting their past.
