A loose adaptation of Ernest Thompson Seton's novel "Biography Of A Grizzly" (1900),set in the late 19th century. Moki, a Cree native and former US Army foreman, rescues a bear cub and names it Wahb (four-toed grizzly). Years later, Wahb evades capture and Moki's former commanding officer, Colonel Pearson, attempts to confront the bear, but is injured and left at its mercy.
