In this reimagined King Arthur story, a young Arthur is left orphaned after his parents, King Uther Pendragon and his mother, are killed in a war sparked by Vortigern, who seizes the throne. Arthur is taken in by a brothel and grows up unaware of his royal heritage. Meanwhile, Vortigern seeks to eliminate any potential claimants to the throne, including Arthur, who is prophesied to be the only one able to pull Excalibur, Uther's sword, from a stone.
