Two friends embark on a journey to explore the combover, a hairstyle characterized by combing hair over a balding spot. They consult with experts, including historians, sociologists, and a psychologist, and visit barbers, hair stylists, and a hairpiece maker to gain a deeper understanding of this style. Along the way, they interview men who sport combovers, some of whom are willing to share their reasons and methods for adopting this hairstyle. The friends also participate in a contest in Texas, where they award a $200 prize for the best combover. Additionally, they meet with the son of a man who patented a three-direction combover and wait for an interview with a local Texan known for his impressive combover. Despite their efforts, they are unable to secure interviews with Donald Trump and UN Ambassador Mohammed Aldouri, but they do visit the Hairclub to gain insight into the current state of the combover as a hairstyle.
