Zoljargal Purevdash, a remarkable Mongolian filmmaker, made her mark in the industry with her debut short film "Over the City, Under the Sky" in 2010, which garnered the prestigious Cinema Club Award at the West Tokyo City Film Festival.
Following her graduation from a renowned film school in Japan, Purevdash returned to her homeland and honed her skills as a first assistant director on several films.
This talented filmmaker has since ventured into experimental short films, crafting two thought-provoking works, "Burgundy" (2013) and "Outliers" (2017),which have been showcased at the esteemed Altan Khalis Independent Film Festival.
As she continues to grow as a filmmaker, Purevdash is currently focused on developing the script for her inaugural feature film, "I Wish I Could Hibernate". This ambitious project has already gained recognition, being selected by the Talents Tokyo 2017 and receiving the coveted Talents Tokyo Award.
Moreover, "I Wish I Could Hibernate" has been chosen for the Torino Film Lab Extended Script Development for 2018, a testament to Purevdash's dedication and talent.
