Zen Ledden, a talented Australian and Italian actor, was born in Adelaide, South Australia, a city that would later become a significant part of his life and career.
As a student at Glenunga International High School, Ledden's interest in performance began to take shape, and he eventually auditioned for The Centre for Performing Arts, enrolling in the acting class of 1999. This marked the beginning of his formal training in the craft.
In the year 2000, Ledden took a suggestion from his friend and mentor, the late Bille Brown, to attend Zen Zen Zo's Japanese physical theatre Stomping Ground intensive in Brisbane over the summer. Upon his return to Adelaide, he joined The Yashchin Ensemble, led by the talented Netta Yashchin.
As his career progressed, Ledden relocated to Melbourne, where he worked with various esteemed companies, including Melbourne Writers Theatre, The Production Company, Magnormos, and The Australian Shakespeare Company.
In television, Ledden secured his breakthrough role on the show Stingers, followed by recurring guest appearances on Neighbours, opposite the talented Nicky Whelan and Rowena Wallace, and on the series Rush.
In 2001, Ledden returned to his hometown of Adelaide to shoot on McLeod's Daughters, rekindling his connection with the city. In 2018, he married radio producer Stefano Pratola, and in 2024, he became an Italian citizen, now dividing his time between Australia and Italy.
