Zacharias Mavroeidis, a multifaceted creative force, embarked on a journey that began in Athens, Greece, where he initially pursued education in architecture and theater before ultimately discovering his true calling in the realm of filmmaking.
His inaugural feature film, the comedy "The Guide", premiered in 2011 and garnered significant attention, screening at an impressive twenty film festivals worldwide.
In addition to his work in the film industry, Mavroeidis also ventured into literature, publishing his debut novel, "Nine Lives Left", in Greece in 2014.
More recently, in 2018, he completed the highly acclaimed documentary "Across Her Body", which delves into the fascinating story of a fading religious tradition on the picturesque island of Thirassia.
Mavroeidis' sophomore feature, "Defunct", made its world premiere at the prestigious International Competition of the 60th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, showcasing his growth and versatility as a filmmaker.
