Zac Reeder, a seasoned entertainment executive, founded Lucky 27 Media in 2018, a development, production, and sales company focusing on premium content for film, television, and digital platforms.
Lucky 27 has produced notable projects, including the Emmy-nominated documentary series "24/7 College Football" for HBO, "League of Legends Origins," a feature documentary sold to Netflix, and "Centurion: The Dancing Stallion," a feature film sold to Lionsgate.
Prior to Lucky 27, Reeder served as Head of Worldwide Distribution at ZÜM Media and headed Domestic Distribution for Electric Entertainment, which produced and distributed film and TV content, such as the Rob Reiner film "LBJ" starring Woody Harrelson and TNT's hit series "The Librarians."
Reeder also acquired, developed, and Executive Produced the television series "The Outpost" for the CW Network and NBCU International.
In his previous role as a Senior Manager in content acquisitions at Netflix, Reeder oversaw content strategy and acquisitions for Hallmark's streaming startup, Feeln (now called Hallmark Movies Now). He negotiated content deals with major studios such as Warner Bros, Sony, NBCU, Paramount, and MGM, as well as numerous independent distributors and producers.
At Feeln, Reeder was also responsible for creative development of original productions, business development, and partnerships.
Before Feeln, Reeder was a founding partner at Circus Road Films, Inc., providing strategic advisory services to independent filmmakers and entertainment companies. He negotiated rights to hundreds of film and television projects and executive produced several feature films and television programs.
Earlier in his career, Reeder was Head of Acquisitions at MarVista and PorchLight Entertainment, where he acquired distribution rights to hundreds of films and television programs over a decade.
Reeder sits on advisory boards of several film festivals and has been a featured speaker at film fests and television markets around the world.
